i'm reading the new 4 presidents of the wt book .

it has a lot of good info ( mostly old news and seems to leave out a lot of the dope on the wt on many subjects or wt articles) what really gets me is every time they quote and old wt or something other i have to look in the back of the book .

and on the top of all the pages it don't tell you what chapter you are in .

Proverbs, New Light, and Progressive Revelation

for a very long time, the wts has used proverbs 4:18 to justify their doctrine of progressive revelation.

it is about time that this is examined in "light" of the surrounding verses.

i love to let jw read me prov 4;18 then i give then a list of wt false prophecies, then ask them to read prov 4;19 out loud. how is it that you can't see that the wt is stumbling the bros. with lies. and i press the issue. they get pissed off because i just took the next verse to nullify their whole arguement. it's so easy it's sad john

1944 -Day - 1914

they have just been saying on the news that the 60th anniversary of d-day will be the last major commemoration -as all the veterans are dying off -- i.e.

the generation that saw 1944 -- but this was 30 years later than 1914 -- when are stupid witnesses going to open their eyes and start asking sensible questions such as "surely something is not quite right?

funny i was watching the memorial day parade on t.v. last week. all the ww2 vets were 80 + and they said that they are dying at a rate of 1000+ a day! and i don't remember seeing any vets from ww1. the generation that jehovah said would see the new system.. you figure it out. john

where was that posted?

not sure on that one , but do know that russell made deals with other religious papers that were closing down to get their mailing lists. keep in mind that russell was in lots of news papers nation wide and used them to get subcribers to the wt . that's how he made his $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ . john

Internet...the best revenge against the Watchtower

for over 100 years the watchtower was used to getting their way.

they had complete control over their faithful members and those who left had no voice to speak out.

the law was on their side protecting their teachings.

about 5 yrs ago i was living with dad the jw. he started with his wt crap again with me . i was never really religious but heard it from him for 30 yrs. at the time i was reading new wt's that were talking about the 1919 and 1922 convention. and the live forever book. i asked to read some wt's from 1922 etc. dad couldn't get them there were other questions he couldn't answer. i was reading to him a wt article about how some lady left her job to become a pioneer. me being out of work at the time could not understand it. at this point we had a big arguement and i told him the wt is bullshi+ . he told me the wt had nothing to hide and do all the research i wanted . i went to the public library , and used the computer for the first time. just punched in jw's and my eyes were opened. at the library you got only one hour a day on the p.c. well within less than 10 hours on the p.c. i have my dad and some of his jw friends crying and screaming foul then he told me everything on the net was lies , even tho i printed out about a few hundred pages already then i started going to the hall and looking this stuff up. and sure enough it was all there, and used the k hall copy machine to baqck it up. anyway this went on for a few months and dad called the police on me about 20x to get me out of the house . because he was getting busted everyday. he could not accept the facts i ended up living in my car for 5 months found a job and saved up for an apt. and even today i still call my dad and press him. if i had a dollar for every lie he told me to defend the wt i would be a millionaire. bottom line is the net does hurt the wt, and now none of my nieces are allowed to study or go to the hall with my dad any longer. when the jw's in my area that know me see me they run, they know i'm going to make them look like spritual clowns all thanks to the internet. john

a didnt go

did i excercise my right to freedom or took another step of denying my family to see their kin?

my mom this morning and asked why i didnt go to my sister and see my uncle give his first hour talk?

i told her my son had karate class and we were too tired to drive for an hour to my sister..mom gave me her disappointment advice to me..i explained to the kids why i didnt feel right about going and my 16 yr old daughter said she understood.

funny the wt only brings out bad birthday's from the bible. why not print about the birth of christ and john the baptist. did not the angels rejoice in heaven over these birthday's and even many came to worship the birthday of jesus. job's children had birthday parties, moses talked about his 120 th birthday. these are just off the top of my head. i'm sure if i looked there are other birthday celebrations in the bible. is not the birth of child a gift from god? i'm sure some of the bible scholars here can post many fine godly verses about birthdays. john

The Real Reason for the Blood Ban?

people who are informed about the history of the watchtower movement are well-aware that "new light" doesn't come out of a vacuum.

"jehovah" always seems to spirit-direct his "new light" when the wts has a problem they created for themselves.

this is all bible-based(tm).

it seems everytime another prophecy of the wt fails... they come up with some crazy new policy to test the still loyal after the big fall out. lets start with 1914, and ww1 when that didn't pan out they started attacking other churches. after 1925-29 they started with the no vaccanations, some no holidays and don't have children till the big A. just for a few. scary stuff. but some stayed. now they got total slaves.( just what they wanted all along) . in the 30's it was the same thing they didn't go to heaven , so now they come up with the new 144k and new great crowd, and hitler was choosen by jehovah blacks are servent race from early 1900and jews are vermom, and arains (germans ) were gods choosen blood line. and the new name jw's to get away from half of the bible students that left in the last 10 yrs. then was all their talk about how the war was going to be a mustard gas war. and only a few months left (1941) with all their talk about ww2 no big A. again i think many walked. lets really turn the remaining jw's into zombies. they have been flip flopping on the cross and the new life savior blood , 1874, 1914, 1799 jesus and other issues for years. and went with the blood bad totally dumped hitler as king of the north and went for the u.s.s.r. as king. and the idea if the generation of 1914 finishing in 1951 or 54 , 37 yrs after christ and jeresalem being destroyed . thentheypull the old 3 1/2 year stuff again and the flag etc. straight till 2004 they keep printing these wacky idea like the year 2000 or the generation of 1935 . and even still print from time to time millions now living today will never die. you have to give the wt credit they have a lot of BALLS... john
